Who we are
Russian-Germans – Who are they? Where do they come from? How did they live and how do they want to live today?
The Museum of Russian-German Cultural History tries to find answers to all of the questions listed above. That’s how we want to build bridges between the past and present of Russian-Germans in Germany.
Therefore, the Museum will share parts of the German story that cannot be found in other German museums in the Federal Republic. Visitors will discover sections of the common German, Russian-German and Russian history – a diverse history of immigration and integration, with interesting links to our current political situation.
Emigration is the migration of people out of a country, whereas immigration is the migration of people to a country. If you are writing about Russian-Germans migrating to Germany, then you would write about immigration, not emigration.
The museum is always worth a visit.
