Special exhibition "German settlers around St. Petersburg" (2014)
The exhibition was created on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the establishment of the German colonies in the surrounding areas of St. Petersburg. It tells the story of the foundation and prosperity of the German colonies and talks about the political reasons for their destruction as a result of deportation as well as reprisals against Russian-Germans in the Soviet Union before and after World War II.
The exhibition was created by Prof. Irina Tscherkazjanowa in cooperation with the German-Russian-Meeting-Centre in the Petri church in St. Petersburg.
