Special exhibition "Wood - a world of fairy tales and miracles" (2012)
"Wood - a world of fairy tales and miracles" - is a slogan for the 89-year-old Russian-German artist Hermann Fast. He was born in Caucasus in 1923, finished school and had just started art classes in college when Hitler attacked the Soviet Union, changing Hermann's life forever. Because he was German he was deported to a labor camp where he had to work from 1942 to 1952. Nevertheless, he held on to his motto "Never give up".
