Programs for students
"Why do people leave their homes forever? What is home? Which 10 things would you put into this suitcase?"
Every museum is a place of learning. The Museum of Russian-German Cultural History is located on the school grounds of the August-Hermann-Francke-Schule in Detmold and serves as a learning place for Students during and after class.
The museum's goal is to encourage students to concern themselves with history and develop this interest based on their needs. Therefore, the concept of a permanent display integrates three interchanging educational areas.
The museum offers students different programs for school assignments as well as extracurricular demands. In the past year over 1000 students visited our museum and 35 school classes made use of the museum‘s educational program.
